In 1946, Jack Deibel opened one of the nation’s first facilities for the treatment of alcoholism. In 1947, Mr. Deibel turned this pioneering program over to the nonprofit Youngstown Committee on Alcoholism, and its founder and first Executive Director, Neil Kennedy. Operating for years as the Alcoholic Clinic of Youngstown, the center later expanded its focus to include treatment of both alcohol and other drug dependencies, and added new programs and services. In 1999, the Neil Kennedy Recovery Centers became a part of Gateway Rehab.
A full time Maintenance Technician position is available that will be based out of the Youngstown location. This position is responsible for preventive and routine building maintenance and repairs including lighting, plumbing, electrical wiring, painting and safety inspections. The work schedule is Monday-Friday daylight shifts. Flexibility required working in the NKRC outpatient facilities if needed.
A high school diploma/equivalent and valid driver’s license with favorable driving record are required. The ability to safely operate various types of equipment and tools and lift up to 50 pounds is also required. Experience in a variety of general maintenance skills preferred. This position requires a self-starter who is able to work independently.
